Annual Events
King Mackerel Classic — July
The biggest tournament of the pier season. Anglers compete for the largest king mackerel caught from the pier over a full weekend. Cash prizes in multiple weight divisions. Entry: $25/angler. Sign up at the pier shop or online.
Flounder Frenzy — September
A one-day flounder tournament that kicks off the fall fishing season. Weigh-in at the pier from 4 PM–6 PM. Dinner and prize ceremony follows. Entry: $25/angler. Family and youth divisions available.
ReelKidsFish — July 4th Weekend
The most fun weekend on the pier. Kids 6–15 compete for prizes in a friendly fishing tournament designed to get young anglers hooked for life. All gear provided. Complimentary for kids — parents buy a standard day pass. Saturday morning, 6 AM start.
Pier Anniversary Celebration — August
Every August we celebrate another year of the pier being open. Live music, discounted day passes, and a community weigh-in throughout the day. The best sunset party on Topsail Island.
